Short haircuts are generally deemed to be above the jaw line this is an arbitrary limit and open to interpretation like all other similar terms but we will use it here. Medium on this site is to be from the jaw line to the neckline and long is anything below that. Extra short or extra long are self explanatory. Straight and curly are on the face of it fairly distinct but again the lines can be blurred so we have tried to be strict with ourselves and keep slightly wavy styles in the curly hairstyle category but a few may have sneaked into the straight. Formal hair styles  could be split up into further sub categories such as prom styles, updos, weddings, homecoming, bridesmaids as well as formal evening styles however we decided that each category could largely pass as another i.e. one persons prom style would be another's bridesmaid style and yet another's formal style so we have included them all for you to choose. The final category is outrageous or "off the wall" in that category you will find the most garish, extreme, outlandish and downright stupid hairstyles around.
